These are just a few of the ‘people’ who come out onto the streets as part of May Day celebrations in Portugal. If you are in Portugal for the 1st of May, then why not pop along to the N125, (that’s the road running east to west along the Algarve), and come and meet the mannequins dressed up by the locals in the Moncarapacho and Olhão area.
You will see mannequins dotted around everywhere celebrating Labour Day, but the
stretch of road between Olhão and Alfandanga is always quite impressive. The traffic
is slowed by everyone wanting to take photos and to say hello ! These photos were
taken in 2010 and this year we’ll be adding more - so if you’re not here in Portugal
in May, then do come back and take a look....
